Thank you 2013… Hello 2014…
Was fortunate to be able to spend some blissful, final moments of 2013 in the realm of the underwater world…
Green turtle bidding us ‘goodbye’ for the time being…
This highly-detailed shot is probably one of the best turtle shots ever taken by me…
The ‘model’ aka my suweeto-haato, and the ‘baby’ turtle were just in the right positions…
And the location, shallow… thus the lighting was as good as it can get…
Caught this Banded Angel fish just as it was making a round-about turn upon seeing me…
It is quite a difficult target to shoot as the fish is very ‘shy’…
Like the turtle capture, this shot is probably one of the best that I have taken of an octopus…
This amazing creature is a master of camouflage…
It changes its shape, color, and texture to the that of the environment surrounding it…
I took this ‘full-portrait’ shot of the octopus in one of our night dives just right off the resort…
Would I name this shot, ‘Nemo and her home’?
I have taken loads and loads of pictures of the Nemo, the Anemone fish…
But seldom from this angle…
On this particularly dive, the current was pretty strong…
And I could not help being drawn to that beautiful purple of the undersides of the anemone…
And corals… these fascinating, beautiful creatures…
Had never been to Venice, but this shot conjures up images of the distinctive masks of the famed Carnival…
To all who have, one way or another, in person or otherwise, crossed paths with me thus far…
Happy 2014 to you and your loved ones…
And may the new year bring you all peace, good health, happiness, and prosperity…
Happy New Year to you and your family! 🙂
Thank you Shirley… sama-sama to you and your family too…
These are all fantastic photos. Very well done. I hope you and your family have a very happy and healthy 2014.
Thank you George… wishing you and your family a happy 2014…
oh! Are all those colours true to nature? Or enhanced?
Still most of the last day of 2013 to go here … I wish you and your sweetheart all things good in the year ahead.
Hi Diana… all pics posted are minimally touched by Photoshop (sometimes cropped, normally auto contrast, auto sharpen)… but all colors true to nature… here’s wishing you and your family a happy 2014…
Happy New Year to you and your family.
What a lovely way to spend the ending of year 2013 and to herald the year 2014.
Love all the photos especially the turtle and your suweeto-haato. 🙂

Hi Lrong, Happy New Year! We haven’t visited each other for a while. It seems both ways, haha! I haven’t changed your site in my reading list in my first blog, so i don’t see the current posts. Besides, i stay more in my newer blogsite. Anyway, nice to see you’re diving again, and certainly they are marvelous shots.
Hi Andrea… Happy New Year to you too! Yeap, am goofing off somewhat when it comes to blogging… actually spending my free time playing the musical flutes and enjoying it… thanks for your comments on the photos…
Hello Lrong Lim. These are great underwater shots. The first photo is my favourite.
Lucky you!!!!!!!!! That’s one of my dreams in the world — go underwater diving, see that world and take pictures. Do you have a special underwater camera? What is it, if I my ask. Thanks. Happy New Year.
Happy New Year to you too… we obtained our scuba licence in 2001, and have been scuba-ing since… it is really ‘blissful’, if I can say, to be able to go underwater to observe the marine life…
Forgot to mention that those were awesome shots. That turtle picture can be sent to National Geographic.
You are too kind… I might just try to do so one day…
